The reception area of River Road Asset Management’s offices is shown above. “Shakertown,” an original oil painting by Eleanor Van Bogaert hangs in this area, where it sets the tone for the office’s design. It is a painting of a horse pasture with a white wooden fence casting wavy shadows on green grass under a tree with gold, green and copper leaves. “A kind of Kentucky horse farm theme really resonated with people here,” said Amy Cimba, vice president and interior designer at Bittners. Beneath the painting sits a red couch with gold pillows flanked by two cream-colored side chairs. A transitional tray table with sabre legs contributes an Asian flair. The setting is anchored by a red Oriental rug with green, blue and gold accents. The nylon carpet is a wheat and butter-colored neutral. The wall coloring is a soft butter. Another piece of artwork, which is shown at left in the photo, is a three-paneled triptych of a horse that Bittners located for the offices.
The stately conference room at River Road Asset Management is anchored by a large wooden conference table made by Bittners specifically for River Road. It is a boat-shaped table measuring 50 inches by 144 inches and is made of mahogany with a yew wood border and inlaid veneers. The table has hidden ports for electrical wires and conferencing needs. It is flanked by 10 black leather chairs and topped with black leather logoed mats and leather coasters. An antique original oil painting of a horse in an outdoor setting hangs on one wall. Bittners softened the original frame by adding gold leaf. One wall of the conference room is floor-to-ceiling glass and looks into the reception area.
