9-11 Memorial Stair Climb and Walk/Run in Prince George's County

As we approach the 10th anniversary of the events that occurred on September 11, 2001, firefighters are preparing to honor the 343 firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice. As a tribute to their fallen brothers, fire service members will convene in a Greenbelt high-rise building where they will climb 110 stories. Some will use air packs or carry hoses; many will be in full turn-out gear; and others will be accompanied by rescue dogs. Each climber will carry the photograph and biographical sketch of a firefighter who was lost. The Prince George's County 9-11 Memorial Stair Climb will be held on the morning of Sunday, September 11, 2011, at the Maryland Trade Center located at 7500 Greenway Center Drive in Greenbelt, Maryland. While the 9-11 Memorial Stair climb is limited to firefighters, an additional event has been added so that everyone will have an opportunity to pay tribute. Firefighters and members of the community will come together for a day of fitness and reflection. Together, we will honor those who sacrificed their lives, as well as support those they left behind by participating in a 3-mile run/walk. This untimed walk is aimed at using physical activity to remember the people and events of September 11th.

Mattel, well aware of this development, trying somehow to get up to speed by adapting its licensing flagship gaming world. Unfortunately, the result is still not up to par.

The series of Hot Wheels racing games has never managed to convince fans of the genre on consoles or PC. Simplistic and poorly made, Stunt Track Challenge episodes and World Race were well below the production that served as their references, Micro Machine in mind. History repeats itself with Beat That! which simply take the concept racing / action threadbare. This is driving small cars on tracks littered with obstacles, shortcuts and weapons to do the cleaning from the competition. There are of course the traditional accelerators arranged on track to have only a few original loops and a couple of ramps. With only four environments and thirty vehicles, the player will quickly feel tired all the more justified as the effete gameplay adds nothing particularly exciting to experience.

A little advertising for Mattel products, it can not hurt.

There are several types of races competing on repetitive plots and misguided. Races simple reward the first car to reach the top after three rounds. Eliminations destroy the vehicle behind the pack every thirty seconds, with the aim of course being the last survivor. The looting we equip missiles to blow up a number of targets required a limited time. Finally, compile the tournaments, as you might expect, a series of tests. Adrenaline is supposed to be at the rendezvous with the many weapons available along the routes. We can equip themselves with such anti-personnel mines, an ice gun, or a shield of fire. Not showing any originality, these bonuses, viewed and reviewed in other games of this type, the dose of n’insufflent fun they are supposed to introduce. The only potentially interesting idea is the super-charge that can boost the capacity of any weapon. However, as you can get boosted weapons directly into the environment, there is no reason why you get tired to fill the power gauge.

30 vehicles can be controlled.

The growth takes place by winning the flames with our performance but also by completing secondary objectives. It will destroy such a competitor with a specific weapon, making a spectacular jump through or as part of the decor. However, the circuits are so much alike, and some races are so long that it bored to death to unlock new challenges or extra cars. Besides, what interest can you find to fight for vehicles given that the behavior of these hardly varies from one to another. In short, no point in beating around the bush, Hot Wheels: Beat That! clone is a desperately flat Micro Machines and it is not the realization of four in which we will change your mind.
