Candida L. Lopez, 40, of 315 N. 16th was sentenced to 15 months to five years in prison, with 208 days credit, for violating her probation. Lopez was on probation for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-third offense and operating a motor vehicle on a suspended or revoked license-second offense and violated it by going AWOL from the Tri-Cap residential work program and failing to pay court costs. John Miller Jr., 54, of 1310 S. 16th was sentenced to nine months in jail, with 60 days credit, and two years probation for possessing under 25 grams of cocaine and resisting and obstructing a police officer Jan. 3 at 2475 E. Remington in Saginaw. Miller pleaded no contest to the charges and in exchange, prosecutors dropped a charge of attempting to disarm a police officer. Miller was ordered to complete the Tri-Cap Program and pay $266 in fines. Amiee L. Nievierowski, 34, who lives at the Tri-Cap facility, was sentenced to five months in jail, with one day credit, and three years probation for first-degree retail fraud March 5 at Sears at the Fashion Square Mall in Saginaw Township. Nievierowski, a fourth-time habitual offender, was ordered to pay $198 in fines. Lonnie J. Parker, 50, of 1136 Howard was sentenced to five years in prison, with 36 days credit, for possessing a firearm during the commission of a felony-second offense Aug. 12 at his home and six months to five years in prison for possessing a firearm as a felon on the same date. A jury convicted Parker of the charges but acquitted him of carrying a concealed weapon. Parker, a fourth-time habitual offender, must serve the sentences consecutively. He was ordered to pay $266 in fines. Saginaw Township
Teaghun A. Brethauer, 19, of 3985 Cabaret Trail West had his probation extended until September 2012 and had his Holmes Youthful Trainee status revoked for violating his probation. Brethauer was on probation for two counts of felonious assault (or assault with a dangerous weapon) and violated it by being arrested on suspicion of receiving and concealing stolen property worth more than $200 but less than $1,000. Gene E. Henry Jr., 24, of 3249 Northwest was sentenced to three years probation for possessing marijuana-second offense Sept. 4 at North Fifth and Tuscola in Saginaw. Joshua A.

*Shoe Department Encore was originally Heavenrich’s when the mall opened. Dunham’s Sports later took over most of the Heavenrich’s space, leaving three smaller stores up front. If I remember correctly, the smaller stores were last occupied by Icing, Select Comfort and LeRoy’s Jewelers. Later on, Steve & Barry’s took the entirety of the old Dunham’s and the three smaller spaces.
