RARE G.E. 40 ch SSB SUPERBASE model 3-5875A WORKING — Ham CB Radio

Here for auction is a RARE G E (General Electric) 40 channel SSB base station, the 3-5875A SUPER BASE. When it was made, this radio was one of the most sought after Base stations ever, and that hasn`t changed much. First, the features; This radio has a fully functioning digital clock, with fast and slow time settings, am/pm,and a timer. all digits light, no missing segments. 3 leds show usb/am/lsb settings. there is a lighted tx power meter/rf incoming signal meter. awi antenna warning indicator(swr) ,digital channel display, (again, all segments light), on air led, and a modulation meter. Light for the Mod meter will need to be replaced, only thing I have found wrong with this radio. the controls; 3 position lsb/am/usb switch, anl, Noise blanker, cb/pa, Channel selector, 3 position mod/swr switch, A/B antenna selector( thats right, you can select between 2 different antennas) speech compression Max/normal, and a clarifier. finally, at the bottom are the volume, squelch/tone, mic power(gain), rf gain,swr cal/ dimmer, controls, and mic plug in. All lettering and logos are completely legible, and look not to be worn, I believe this radio has been well cared for. All meter faces are clean, almost no scratching/wear at all. Outer case finish is good, cou[ple small smudges do not detract from this radio. Radio HAS BEEN Real world tested, By ME. It works as it should.people I talked to said it was clean and clear on am, I broadcasted on SSB but no one was there to answer me.Meters indicated it worked well. Now, the business end of things: I am going to put a start bid of 19.99 on this radio to get it going. as such, there will be NO Reserve. This is good for you, so there will be no guesswork. I will also post a buy it now, which, by past sales performance of this model radio, should be reasonable.
